Introduction to the science behind energy efficiency, occupant comfort, health, and safety. The house functions as a system, made up of many different components and systems. Each of these components is affected by the interactions of heat, air and moisture flow in, out, and around the house. All of the interactions impact indoor air quality and the need for ventilation.

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) requires candidates for Energy Advisors to take two exams to be eligible to become registered. This program is designed to prepare you for the Foundation Exam. It covers all of the competency guidelines published by NRCan that are included in the exam:

Some initiatives need more support. BHE can add cohort-specific live expert sessions, customize existing training, develop bespoke training and knowledge-transfer resources, or help determine what kind of program is actually needed.

Organizational training can also include participant and progress reporting. Where an initiative requires defined outcomes, KPIs, evaluation or continuous improvement, those requirements can be built into a broader training and performance approach.
