What You Need To Know
How do I enroll in a course?
From our website:
- Click on “Courses”, click on the “Course Selector” on this page, or search in the search bar for the course you are interested in
- Select the course you would like to enrol in
- Click “Add to Cart” to add the course to your cart
- Click on your cart and select “Proceed to Checkout”
- Complete the Purchaser Contact Information
- Enter your payment details and billing address
- Submit payment (Pay Now)
- Complete the Order
- Follow instructions on the screen and in the follow-up emails for accessing the course. You will get an order confirmation email that will serve as a receipt.
Can I enroll in a Blue House Energy course anytime?
Yes! All of our courses that are eligible for BC Housing CPD points are on-line and on-demand, allowing you to get your points on your own schedule.
Most of our courses also have audio-only versions so you can listen while you're on the road or waiting for contractors, etc. You'll still need to do the tests online to get your certificate of completion to claim your CPDs.

What types of payments. are accepted?
We accept a several payment methods, including VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX. We process credit card payments immediately upon registration. Payment by invoice can also be arranged by contacting sales@bluehouseenergy.com.
How many CPD points do I need a year?
General contractor licensees are required to obtain a minimum of 20 points annually to meet their CPD requirements. There are two CPD points per hour of formal learning and one CPD point per hour of informal learning. In order to qualify for CPD points, the course must be a minimum of one hour in duration.
You can carry over a maximum of 20 CPD points from year to year. This means that 20 of the 40 points obtained will apply to Licence Term 1 and 20 points will be carried over to Licence Term 2. The 20 CPD points that were carried over from Licence Term 1 were applied.

How do I claim or report my CPDs?
You are required to keep a record of your completed CPD training for three years after the end of your licence term. BC Housing may audit your CPD participation at any time, so keep your records complete and accessible.
Only completed training that can be verified is eligible for CPD points.
You can only claim points for an individual course once. Unless there has been substantial changes to a course you will not be able to claim credit for it again.
CPD points must be complete and reported through the Licensed Residential Builders portal before applying to renew your licence each year.
