Partnership development is another strength that she has used in her work to develop responsive programs that meet the needs of an industry sector. Carla worked closely with Irving Shipbuilding Inc. through contracts with Women Unlimited to support the transition of skilled female Iron Workers into the labour force.
Being motivated by inclusive work spaces and the need to have meaningful conversations, Carla has continued to add to her skill set by being an active practitioner of Restorative Practices and Neuro-linguistic Programming. She is purpose driven and outcome oriented.  Jazzed mostly by developing systems and processes that puts diversity and especially adult learners at the centre. Work is most fulfilling when relationships are being built to support a common vision. These skills have stood the test of time and been used in her community economic development work  in a wide geographic range including Canada, Central and South America.
Carla also loves a physical challenge and can be found frequently on the yoga mat, in a kayak or on her surfboard.
